Influences :

Paul J M Pinto :I was mainly influenced by the birth of punk rock in the early 80s all my friends got me listening to Crass ,exploited ,The Dead Kennedys and sex Pistols .

later on I got into the industrial and gothic scene bands like Cabaret Voltaire ,Young gods .Front Line Assembly, Bauhaus Fields of the Nephilim .I also got into Depeche Modes, John Fox ,fad gadget,Gary Numan , Yello it opened a huge side of sonic possibilities .

One of my friends borrowed me a Roland sh02 and it literally blew my mind . At First I thought the unit was faulty he then told me to mess around with the envelope sliders and that’s when pandoras box opened .Even though I was more of a drummer and percussionist I knew my musical journey would some how change .

My Life as a producer :Producing all started when I was around 17 the day my mom bought me a double tape deck I used the internal mike to do a few tracks playing on an acoustic guitar singing and adding drums to the mix . It sounded terrible so I left the idea on hold for a few years .Later on I had this industrial hardcore band formed and we had a few noisy tracks and recorded it in the studio .

I was in my mid 20s all of us where high on acid creating madness in the studio the producer went mad and told us we should get our own track recorder so the idea then suddenly sprung back to life . I then bought a Tuscan 8 track casette porta studio and started studying the art of recording .

In the 90s I eventually went digital and bought a Roland vs840 .The 90s also bought acid house ,downtempo ,Jungle and Goa trace to the table .It was a cosmic awakening and several albums where composed but never released due to lack of label support .

MILLENNIUM Years :

I immigrared to the Uk in April 2001 having had enough of the financial struggle in South Africa .I took with me my track recorder , mic , Ibanez electric guitar and £20 in my wallet .Eventually I got my life back together including our little studio .Changed jobs a few times .We both got married and launched Satellite 484 to the air waves .

Studio equipment used:The band use Ibanez electric guitars ,Peavey basses ,Honer 12 string ,Ibanez acoustic guitars ,harmonicas ,various samplers ,synthesisers .drum machines ,Modular synthesisers .
